The next chapter of the Edgewood Community Gardens will resume in Spring 2019 upon completion on Edgewood's New Recreation Center.

The Edgewood Community Garden project exemplified a community-led initiative. The garden was a project of residents of Edgewood and George Washington students collaborating to foster communication, beautification and healthful eating. We introduced local and healthy food, increasing healthy eating habits and reducing obesity, into the Edgewood neighborhood of Washington, DC.
